Areas of Focus
I am a therapist who helps people find their footing and their voices in relationships and in themselves, integrating Insight-Oriented, Relational, DBT, Schema, Feminist, Mindfulness, and humanitarian practices.
Meet Migdalia
If you're reading this, you've taken an important step — toward support, toward understanding yourself more deeply, toward change. That takes courage, and it takes recognizing that someone can help. It's why I've built my practice around a simple belief: the most powerful healing happens within safe, genuine, and honest relationships, including the one we build together in therapy. After earning my Master of Social Work from the University of San Francisco in 2012, I spent more than twelve years alongside a community of dedicated, caregiving, and astute peers — and I grew. I learned how to help people navigate some of the more complex passages of their lives: shifting family systems, increasing responsibilities, partnership challenges, loss of self in relationships, anxiety, codependency, and the slow, difficult work of recovering from narcissistic abuse. My work is grounded in feminist, cultural, and societal perspectives that honor the contexts shaping how each of us moves through the world. I draw from relational and insight-oriented therapy, psychodynamic work, dialectical behavior therapy, schema therapy, mindfulness practices, emotionally focused approaches, and narrative therapy. What I promise is this: I will listen to who you are, what you've carried, and what you hope for — and together we'll shape the work to fit you, collaboratively and without judgment.
